What are ball joints used for?
Ball joints are literally the pivot between the wheels and suspension of your truck. They are used to ensure safety in respect to the operating system of a vehicles steering components and suspension. A ball joint is an encased steel bearing stud and socket. It fits into a narrowed hole in the steering knuckle. They are encased to avoid dirt and particles from getting into the joint assembly. They are normally found in a vehicles throttle body.
