AEM DRYFLOW Filters


AEM DRYFLOW air filters do not use oil so there is no chance of over-oiling your filter which takes the guesswork out of servicing. The DRYFLOW filter uses environmentally friendly, mild, all-purpose cleaner.  Simple cleaning instructions.  Under extremely dusty/dirty conditions, DRYFLOW filters can be knocked a few times to remove excess dirt off of the filter pleats. DRYFLOW filter media is so durable that it can withstand almost unlimited cleanings and also resists water absorption. DRYFLOW air filters will not void your warranty.

Many of their competitors emphasize flow as a primary means of power production in air intakes. While flow is certainly an important part of the equation, they find that tuning the inlet to work with the harmonics of the engine produces the best power gains. They address flow in the sense that the engine requires a given amount of flow, so they calculate their filter size to exceed this flow requirement by a wide margin to accommodate potential future engine modifications. This allows them to retain a high level of filtration efficiency and still exceed the flow requirements of an engine. Their filters will trap more dirt, and consequently extend the life of the rings and seals in your engine.

By designing their DRYFLOW filters to exceed the flow requirements for the size of the engine that they designed the intake for, it allows them to do two things. The first is that it allows you to add modifications that increase flow demand without exceeding the flow capabilities of the filter. Second, it extends the filter’s service cycle (you don’t have to clean it as often) because it can trap more dirt without sacrificing flow. Rest assured that they have taken flow into account for all of their intake designs and their DRYFLOW filters will deliver more than adequate flow for your vehicle.

Reduce Fuel Consumption in your Dodge and Save Money!!

There are many different options to upgrading your vehicle to help save money in the long run. One such option would be  a tuner, and not just any tuner but a MADS Smarty Tuners with CaTCHER Software.

MADS has a tuning software that is as well known as CaTCHER software.  MADS is originally known for EPROMs and Flash-EPROMs or chips which could be installed in place of the original OEM EPROMs and Flash-EPROMs located in the vehicle’s on-board control module.  These chips, just like the tuners of today, keep the entire vehicle safety and emissions systems intact, but modify the fuel injection settings to deliver dramatic power, torque and driveability improvements.

Also, fuel consumption is one of the most important point of  company research. CaTCHER software can be used to reduce fuel consumption up to 15% depending on the driving condition. Saving money and reducing the vehicle emissions.

With the advent of OBD-II vehicle control module in the early 1990’s, most  domestic vehicle manufacturers installed under-dash ports, or ALDL ports, which allowed dealers and service techs to re-flash the vehicle’s control module to change engine settings without replacing any chip.

2003.5-2007 Ford Powerstroke 6.0L

Ford Powerstrokes with a 6.0L engine have one of the worst reputations in the diesel world. Ford has been frequently asked, “Why didn’t you just keep the 7.3L engine?” But really the question is unfair given the circumstances at the time of creation of the 6.0L engine.

After January 1st, 2003, the federal government set tougher diesel emission standards. All the top diesel application manufactures had to restructure and invest a substantial amount of money to abide these new standards. Ford was one to do the same. Some say Ford should of added an exhaust gas recirculation system, a variable geometry turbo, and a high pressure injection system to the 7.3L engine. But others say nay, a clean burning 7.3L engine would have a horsepower disadvantage compared to the GM Duramax and the Dodge Cummins applications at the time. Also with Dodge Cummins Bosch’s latest Common Rail Injection, Ford 7.3L engines were much too loud.

So the 6.0L was created with four goals in mind:

  • Meet Emission Standards
  • Have More Horsepower than the competition
  • Have Better Fuel Economy
  • Make a quieter engine

When 2003.5 came to be, the Ford Powerstrokes 6.0L were out on the market. In stock form this was a consumer dream. The 6.0L engine met all emission standards and passed all testing performed during research and development. Obviously stock vehicles have been factory tested, so they are thought to be more reliable, which is mostly true for 6.0L engines. 6.0L engines rarely experience failures when operating at stock power levels. But let’s be honest, why own a Diesel if you can’t MAX IT OUT! This seems to be the area where 6.0L engines are having trouble, because now with aftermarket modifications your now turning more rpm, fueling heavier, and creating more heat and higher cylinder pressures. But Orange County Diesel feels that aftermarket modifications aren’t bad for 6.0L engines, they just have to be the RIGHT aftermarket product!

Get your RV ready for Camping Season

It’s the time of year to get that RV back in shape for some winter camping trips!! Here are some general tips that will help  steer you toward a stress-free season on the road:

  1. Clean it up and air it out:  Open all roof vents and windows and then remove any pest control items you may have placed during storage.
  2. Check for damage: Look for deterioration of seals around doors, roof vents and windows and reseal as necessary.
  3. Check all lights. Make sure headlights, taillights, brake lights and turn signals are all functioning properly.
  4. Examine the hitch system for wear, loose bolts and cracks.
  5. Inspect the tires. Check for cracks, worn treads and correct tire pressure.
  6. Inspect the engine. Change the engine oil, spark plugs, and filters.
  7. Check the battery.
  8. Drain and flush the entire system of the nontoxic antifreeze you used before placing the RV into storage and replace with the proper coolant.
  9. Check for cracks in hoses and fan belts and replace if necessary.
  10. Flush the water system.
Prepare for a safe season. After checking all mechanical components, it’s always a good idea to inspect your safety equipment. This means installing new batteries in flashlights and smoke detectors, and restocking the first-aid kits.
Check your coverage. After making these routine checks, don’t forget to review your insurance policy to make sure it meets your current needs.

What is the Diablosport Predator?

The Predator is a state-of-the art, high performance tuning flash programmer in a sleek handheld design. Once connected to the vehicle, the Predators internal computer recognizes the vehicles PCM and automatically picks the proper tuning files designed specifically for that PCM. Inside the Predator’s memory are the actual tuning files that optimize spark timing and air/fuel ratio curves. The transmission parameters are remapped to improve the shift characteristics such as shift firmness and shift points. Unlike other ‘tuners’, DiabloSport’s programming is performed in very small increments throughout the entire RPM range, for a smoother, wider and a more predictable power delivery. DiabloSport engineers spend many hours on the dyno, street and track to ensure the tunes provided with the Predator are the best they can be.

Dyno Tested Performance Tunes:

Average power gains are per tune. The Predators additional power makes itself noticeable immediately with an increase in power that starts in the low RPMs and builds into a frenzy at the high RPMs.

A Predator equipped vehicle will notice significant improvements in drivability. The additional power and improved shift patterns created by the Predator tune will yield quicker acceleration and better mileage, whether it is in town or out on the highway. The power increase in the lower RPMs will yield a better throttle response. The increase in MPG is a byproduct of maximized engine efficiency, the improved timing curve and air/fuel ratio creates a more complete combustion, i.e. the engine extracts more power from each molecule of gasoline.
