The ATS Diesel ArcFlow Intake Manifold is smooth, non restrictive air flow design increases intake efficiency, air velocity and eliminates air turbulence, increasing throttle response, horsepower, torque and fuel economy. The Arc Flow has been dyno tested, verses the stock air intake, and has proven to provide gains of up to 19 horsepower and 57 foot pounds of torque.
The shrouded backside of ArcFlow and top intake section have been pre-tapped for easy, clean, gauge, water injection (like the ATS Water Boy system) and Nitrous injection installation. The ArcFlow is the easiest, most economical way to “bolt on” horsepower and performance and is ideal when upgrading your truck because it will not void your factory warranty.

ATS Deep Transmission Pan Questions & Answers:

Q: How much extra fluid does your ATS Deep Pan hold?
A: The ATS Deep Pan holds an extra 5 quarts of fluid for exceptional cooling benefits and increased gear lubrication. This extra fluid also allows for more miles between fluid service.

Q: Does it have a port for a temperature gauge?
A: Yes it has a 1/8th NPT fitting on the side of the pan for easy installation of a gauge probe.

Q: Does your transmission ATS Deep Pan use a O-Ring or gasket to seal?
A: The transmission ATS Deep Pan uses a gasket to seal the pan to the transmission.

Q: Is the gasket reusable?
A: For both Ford and GM, the gaskets are reusable. The Dodge pan uses a paper gasket which is not reusable. However, we recommend replacing the gasket with the one we provide anytime you add the ATS Deep Pan to your transmission.

Q: Does the transmission ATS Deep Pan have a filter extender or do I need to purchase bigger filter?
A: The Dodge comes with a block that will extend the reach of your stock filter. Ford Deep Pans are designed to work with the stock filter as well, so no need to buy a different filter. The Duramax requires a deeper filter, but this filter is included with the ATS Deep Pan.

Q: How much further does the transmission ATS Deep Pan extend over stock?
A: Depends on your vehicle, but the extra depth ranges from 2-4 inches.

Q: Does your ATS Deep Pan have a drain plug?
A: It not only has a drain plug, but a magnetic drain plug.

Q: What is your ATS Deep Pan made out of?

So many manufacturers making 24 valve injectors, how do you choose which one is right for you?

With so many manufacturers making 24 valve injectors, how do you choose which one is right for you? DDP 24 Valve injectors are not the cheapest or the most expensive, but they are guaranteed to be the best.

These injectors will give you 40 plus horsepower at the wheels with virtually no more smoke than stock.  These injectors can be used on a completely stock truck, or on a highly modified on as a set of driving injectors.  With a box and turbo, these injectors are capable of 380 horsepower.

Your mileage will increase over stock with these injectors.  You will likely see 2-3 miles per gallon after your excitement wears off.

California Diesel Vehicle Smog Check Information

There seems to be a lot of questions about California’s NEW Smog Checks for Diesel Vehicles. Here is what we know…

Back in 2007, Assembly Bill 1488, was approved. Assembly Bill 1488 requires the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) to include in the Smog Check Program, by January 2010, Diesel-fueled (Diesel) vehicles meeting certain model year (1998 and newer) and vehicle weight range criteria (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of less than 14,000 pounds.)

This legislation requires the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) to work with the California Air Resources Board (ARB) to create the diesel vehicle test procedures, and requires the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to work with the ARB to identify vehicles for inspection.

At a minimum, Assembly Bill 1488 requires that 1998 and newer vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating Gross Vehicle Weight Rating of less than 14,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight Rating be included in the Smog Check Program.

The bill indicates that the test will, at a minimum, consist of visual checks of the Emission Control Systems (ECS), and an On Board Diagnostics (OBD) test. In addition, Assembly Bill 1870, requires a visible smoke test.  All of these tests are currently performed on gasoline vehicles. However, there are minor differences for Diesel Vehicles.

A portion of the diesel visual test is checking for non-California Air Resources Board (CARB) approved emission related aftermarket parts. In general, Modified and Add-on parts require CARB Exemption through an Executive Order (EO).

“Modified part” means any aftermarket part intended to replace an original equipment emission-related part which is not functionally identical to the original equipment part in all respects which in any way affect emissions, excluding consolidated parts. Examples include: aftermarket performance engine control unit reprogrammers, fuel injection components, and turbochargers.

“Add-on part” means aftermarket parts which is not modified part or a replacement part. For the purposes of a Smog Check inspection, add-on parts that could adversely affect the effectiveness of the vehicle’s emission control must have a CARB Exemption. Examples include: Inline programmers, nitrous oxide kits, and propane kits.

It is estimated that approximately 540,000 diesel vehicles will be registered in California and subject to this program in calendar year 2010. Department of Motor Vehicles will begin sending notifications in January 2010 to registered owners of diesel vehicles with Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN) ending in even numbers, and the Vehicle Identification Numbers ending in odd numbers will be sent the following year beginning in January 2011.
