Why use cast aluminum?
S&B chose to manufacture their Intake Elbows out of cast aluminum because you need a part that delivers extreme performance without the risk of it bursting in the field. While we too liked the idea of using a composite material to make our elbows, trust us, it’s not worth the risk.

Features a larger plenum for increased airflow, and smooth radius turns to reduce turbulence and intake pressure losses.  S&B’s unique design positions the fasteners outside of the manifold (instead of through it) to reduce airflow restriction, and 5 convenient ports for the Dodge Cummins Intake Elbow and 3 for the Ford Powerstroke Intake Elbow make it easy to monitor boost and/or inject nitrous oxide or another power adder.

S&B Filters Cast Aluminum Elbow Intakes

The smooth design of the S&B Intake Elbow significantly improves the airflow after the intercooler. The result is denser air delivering more power and better fuel economy.

S&B’s Intake Elbows include 1/8″ NPT ports for simple gauge and power adder installation. S&B taps all the ports on our CNC machines, so you can be assured of a perfect fitment without scraping your knuckles. If it leaks, you lose power. Whenever possible, S&B utilizes an o-ring to seal the elbow and provided worry free operation for the long haul. While many competitors insert bolts through the air chamber to secure their elbow, S&B kept it clear to provide you with the best possible airflow.
