BD Diesel’s Electronic Boost Builders

Dodge Cummins 5.9L/6.0L (1989-2007)

Get more performance out of your electronically controlled engine by plugging in one of BD’s Electronic Boost Builders. Installed in-line with the MAP sensor, the Electronic Boost Builder increases boost pressure and intercepts the message to the ECM, preventing it from setting an overboost trouble code that can cost between 50-80 horsepower. BD’s Boost Builders are a perfect match for engines with power module, injector or turbo enhancements.

If you don’t have a chip or tuner, better injectors or better turbo, the builder wont do anything for you. The boost builder fools the computer into thinking there is less boost than there really is. In stock format when the computer sees more than 24psi of boost it will cut back on fuel. By fooling it, you will allow it to continue to fuel and make more power.

The aFe Bladerunner exhaust manifold for the popular 5.9L Dodge Cummins is constructed out of cast 304 stainless steel with a reinforcing rib for strength. The Bladerunner exhaust manifold produces an air flow increase of 23% over the stock manifold This manifold also features 2 EGT probe ports, thick wall design for increased strength (0.25″ vs 0.15″ for the stock unit),, matched ports and has a merged runner design to maximize maximize exhaust flow. With the average 7.3 injector needing rebuild at around 125K, why not add some extra power at the same time. New and remanufactured injectors are available. Whether you tow or Hot Rod your truck, DDP Injectors is the answer to reliable power.

These injectors will give you 100 horsepower at the wheels.  You can use these with a stock turbo, but DDP does recommend an upgraded one.  An intercooler is mandatory with this set if you tow, and highly recommended if you do not.  They will be hot until you get the intercooler!  No high-pressure oil pump will be required.

In most cases, mileage will increase 1-2 mpg and sometimes even more depending on the condition of your current injectors.  Please allow some time for the excitement to wear off before calculating mileage.
