The Trinity T-1000 Diesel Programmer can hold up to 5 custom tunes made by any CMR dealer nationwide, the upload process is less than 30sec. This makes the Trinity a valuable product to have. If you tuned your vehicle from stock and like the power your car is producing, most likely you will start adding modifications to your car as time goes on. What is the Diablosport Trinity?
The DiabloSport Trinity is simply put, one of the most advanced tuning devices in the market. With the capability to tune, log and record data, display and customize virtual gauges, read and clear trouble codes. and even compute multiple track times the DiabloSport Trinity is the answer to all of your EFI tuning needs. Trinity supports all vehicle application under a single part number which means you have the option to tune multiple vehicles with only one Trinity (Only 1 vehicle can be tuned at any given time). With a high resolution color touch screen, state of the art graphics/GUI, and the ability to customize gauge layouts the Trinity enhances the interior of any vehicle. The Trinity also has the capabilty to control/communicate extrenal devices such as the DiabloSport Extreme PowerPuck, DiabloSport EGT Module, and other third party devices

The Trinitys tuning options vary depending on the vehicle that is being tuned. Gasoline powered vehicles feature tunes based on minimum octane ratings while Diesels are based on Horse Power Ratings. By way of example, If you have a 2008 Chrysler 300C your options in the tuning menu might be: 93 Octane Performance tune, 91 Octane Performance Tune, and other CAI tunes; and a 2007 F-350 with a 6.0L PowerStroke might have the options of stock, 40 HP, 65 HP, and 100 HP. (Note:These options may not be the same in all models and can vary based on the current update of the tool). The DiabloSport also supports custom tuning and can hold an additional 5 custom tunes. The Trinity also contains the most adjustable parameters in the market.

With over 100MB of on board memory devoted solely to recording and playing back diagnostic PID/DMR data, it allows users to record hours and hours of continuous data streams directly from the vehicle’s PCM/ECM. The Trinity interprets PID and DMR data received from the OBD-II Diagnostic port on your vehicle and converts it into a readable format: A Virtual Gauge! Individual user customization is one of Trinity’s most recognizable features. With Trinity’s dynamic gauge layout there is literally an infinite number of combinations/customization of gauges to view! Users can even set up gauge alarms and shift points based on precise vehicle data and using the Trinity’s LED lights.

Using parameters such as vehicle speed, peak torque, wheel speed and others, the Trinity is able to accurately compute quarter mile, 1/8 mile or 0-60 and 0-100 time trials. Keep in mind that these numbers may or may not be accurate depending on variables, but they sure are fun to see! The Trinity’s virtual tree allows users to choose to either monitor their reaction time (like the real world) or have the tree start when they press the gas from a stop. There are advantages to both! If you are using reaction time, you will gain experience for the track when launching off the line while the motion start will show you the time less human error. It’s your choice as to which you prefer!

Synthetic Diesel Oil

Synthetic oil is an oil product that contains additional chemical ingredients that are not present in crude oils. These additional ingredients are synthesized or created artificially and added to petroleum as a means of meeting specific needs for lubrication.

Fully synthetic motor oils contain non-conventional, high-performance fluids and a system of additives that helps prevent wear, keeps engines clean, flows easily, maintains viscosity performance, prevents rust and reduces friction.

Using synthetic oil has many advantages associated with it. The addition of artificial ingredients also helps to ease the burden on diminishing crude oil reserves, making it possible to use natural oils much more efficiently. Using a synthetic product often minimizes the oil sludge issues in your truck especially in older vehicles. Synthetic oils also have a higher tolerance to heat and aging.

A major benefit of using synthetic oil is a more efficient performance when your trucks engine is started in cold weather. Petroleum-based motor oil thickens in cold temperatures, requiring the starter and battery to work much harder to start a cold engine. Synthetic oil is not as affected by low temperatures and begins to lubricate all the working parts much more quickly and efficiently than crude oil products would, thus lowering your chance of gumming and unnecessary wear on your trucks individual engine components.

Synthetic oil was originally developed as a way to deal with the shortage of crude oil products and is used more frequently today due to the better performance. During periods when the price of crude oil rises significantly, synthetic oils may also be a less expensive lubricant option to go with.

Advantages of Using Synthetic Oil:

• Better low and high temperature viscosity performance
• Improved fuel economy in most engines
• Decreased evaporative loss
• Better lubrication on cold starts
• Resistance to oxidation, thermal breakdown and oil sludge problems
• Oil changes are not needed as often because synthetic is more durable

Disadvantages of Using Synthetic Oil:

• The cost is usually 2 to 4 times more than petroleum-based oils
• The lower friction may make them unsuitable for break-in period
• Potential decomposition problems in certain chemical environments
• Potential stress cracking of plastic components like polypxymethylene (POM) in the presence of  polyalpholefins (POA’s)
• Synthetics do not hold lead in suspension as well as mineral oil
• Synthetic oils are not recommended in automotive rotary engines

The Facts on Rotating Your Trucks Tires

Tire rotation is an important maintenance routine that extends the life of your tires and ensures safe driving and handling of your vehicle.  Rotating your trucks tires also prevents the tires from developing pattern wear problems that result from turning in the same direction on the same wheel for thousands and thousands of miles.

Rotating your tires evens out the wear between the front and rear tires (usually front tires wear out faster), so that your tires don’t wear out prematurely. It is necessary to rotate your tires front-to-rear several times during their life cycle. This will help equalize tread wear and maximize the life of your tires.

Not all tires can be rotated from side to side and front to back. Make sure you follow the recommendations set by the manufacture of your tires. How often should you rotate your trucks tires? Well that all depends on your manufacture. Check back to your trucks owner’s manual for specific guidelines. Most manufacturers recommend rotating your tires every 5,000-10,000 miles.
